9. Apoka Safari lodge
123 reviews with the most five stars averagely with visitors using all known superlatives to drive the point home.
It’s the furthest safari lodge from the capital city. Located in Northern Uganda, Apoka judging by visitor raves its every bit worth the visit. It also helps that its located in kidepo valley national park, a CNN voted park as the number 5 best safari park in Africa.
Wildlife in Kidepo is abundant. Lions, leopard, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, zebra, this was Uganda’s only park where giraffe and zebra are found together before giraffes were introduced in Lake Mburo National Park, in June 2019. Kidepo possibly inhabits Africa’s largest herds of buffalo, hartebeest, waterbuck, bushbuck, warthog…the list is endless. Better still, much of it can be seen from the privacy of your veranda or your outdoor bathtub, but the best way to see the wildlife is up close: on foot, or in one of our open-top Landcruisers.
